Simple, Transparent Courier Pricing

• The prices shown on this page are our standard Pay As You Go rates and are available to customers booking and paying by credit or debit card. If you are a business, you may qualify for discounted account pricing by opening a GJS account. 
  Open an account to access lower account pricing, monthly invoicing and a range of additional business benefits. Customers with regular routes, contract work or higher volumes may also benefit from tailored pricing. Please contact our team to discuss your requirements.
• All prices quoted are exclusive of VAT.
• A fuel surcharge will be applied to the full cost of the delivery (excluding tolls, ferry charges and similar third-party costs).
• Prices apply to collections and deliveries carried out between Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 17:00. Collections and/or deliveries outside of these hours will incur additional charges as follows:
  • 40% for collections and/or deliveries between 17:00 and 08:00, Monday to Friday
  • 60% for collections and/or deliveries during weekends and bank or public holidays
• Waiting and loading time beyond the standard allowance is chargeable and will always be communicated and agreed in advance.
• Prices are based on standard ground floor, kerbside collection and delivery. Additional requirements, including upper floor access or specialist handling, may incur additional charges.
• Drivers are subject to vehicle weight and handling limitations. Any consignments exceeding standard limits or requiring additional labour must be communicated in advance and may incur additional charges.
• Where goods are collected and held overnight for delivery the following day, additional charges may apply to reflect the extended duration of the job and storage of goods.
• Prices are based on mainland UK (England, Scotland and Wales). Deliveries to Northern Ireland, offshore islands and remote locations are priced on a job-by-job basis.
• Deliveries to locations requiring ferry crossings, including but not limited to the Isle of Wight and other UK islands, are priced individually due to fluctuating ferry costs.
• Prices exclude tolls, ferry charges and other applicable road user charges, which will be charged at cost where applicable. Road user charges within the London zone are included within our London minimum rate and are not charged separately.
• Cancellations made after a vehicle has arrived on site may incur charges up to the full minimum rate.
• The pricing outlined in this document applies to our core same day courier services. Other services, including full or half day rates, technical courier services, European deliveries and bespoke logistics solutions, are priced on a job-by-job basis.
• Certain items are restricted or excluded from carriage. For full details, please refer to our Terms & Conditions.
• All bookings are undertaken in accordance with our Terms & Conditions, including our limitation of liability. 

All bookings are subject to a minimum charge, which covers the first mile of the journey. For collections and deliveries outside our London zone, the applicable nationwide minimum charge for the selected vehicle will apply. Thereafter, pricing is calculated on a per-mile basis according to the distance travelled.

Where any part of the job, including the collection, delivery or the most practical route between them where an alternative route is not reasonably available, falls within our London zone, the applicable London minimum charge for the selected vehicle will apply. Thereafter, pricing is calculated on a per-mile basis according to the distance travelled.

The London minimum charge reflects the additional time and operational complexity associated with providing dedicated same day courier services within London. No additional road user charges are applied within the London zone, including the Congestion Charge, ULEZ and central London tunnel crossings such as the Silvertown and Blackwall tunnels. Charges incurred outside the London zone, such as the Dartford Crossing, may still apply where relevant.

Not every booking is a simple collection and delivery, some jobs may involve multiple collection or delivery points. Where additional stops are required, a fixed charge is applied per additional collection or delivery within the route.

Our team will always confirm any additional costs at the point of quoting, so you have full visibility before the delivery takes place.

We allow up to 15 minutes free of charge at each collection and delivery point.

Where additional time is required for loading, unloading or waiting on site, this may be accommodated at our discretion and will be charged in line with the rates outlined above, calculated per hour or part thereof.

Any additional waiting time will always be clearly communicated and agreed with you before charges are applied.

A fuel surcharge is applied to the delivery charge (excluding VAT and any third-party costs such as tolls, ferry charges, congestion charges and parking).
